Food Quality
I find Yan Palace's food tastier. A well established restaurant that has been around for years.
Food is "so so".. Nothing attracts me to make it my first choice if I am planning for gathering.
Food Quantity
They are really generous in their food portion. Even for expensive ingredient such as sharks fin. At the end of the meal, you can be assured that your guests' stomach are filled.
Food portion is not as generous. Especially they charge more as compared to Yan Palace on the same date. (Yan Palace was fully booked)
KTV facility
There are 2 televisions in every room, so there's no need to turn around to look at the screen

Inserting songs are not as friendly as there's no way to choose by han yu pin yin. We only used "number of words", "top hits" and by singers to look for the songs we want.
There is only 1 television, which is placed at one extreme side of the room. There's a need to turn around, in order to look at the screen. Guests who are sitting further away from the screen, might have to come closer in order to look at the lyrics.

They gave us 2 mics.. however, the on/off switch is missing from one of the mic.
That mic gave feedback when we put it on the table.. We tried asking if they have a spare mic, waitress told us no (despite being a pretty large establishment)... :(

There K systerm is however, more user friendly.. it allows us to search for songs by entering the first alphabet of each word (han yu pin yin)

Software seems to have error. It auto inserts songs that we didn't choose.. very irritating as we have to skip quite a number of songs before it gets t o our song.
Operating Hours
(Dinner)
6:30-11pm
6-10:30 pm
Service
Waitress are friendly and helpful.
Waitress stood in our room and started packing at around 10:10pm. We felt uneasy as it sort of gave us the impression that she is hinting us to leave.
Others
Allows us to bring wine without purchasing any wine from them. Not sure if this is a privilege because we booked their room, but I feel that these little things they do, leaves good impression in their customers. =D
Allows you to bring 3 bottles of wine if you purchase 1 bottle of wine from them at $39.90++.

They are already charging a premium on food when the standard is "so so".. They are not service centric, but placing more emphasis on profit.

Conclusion:
Yan Palace will always be my family's first choice for Chinese restaurant. We love the food quality, quantity and KTV facility. Yan Palace is more value for money!
