Mediplus all in one gel

The advertisements of this product often appear when I am browsing Facebook. It claims that it is an all in one, (so toner, emulsion, serum and moisturiser can be skipped).

After contemplating for months, I finally decided to give this a try.

I love the packaging as it has a "lock" for the pump ( as shown in the picture below) to avoid wastage due to unintentional pressing of the pump.

On the first day which I use it, I used the recommended amount  - 2 pumps. It was a wrong move for me as I have combination skin. It was very tacky and I was hoping that it will be better after some time when skin drinks up the moisture.. But it didn't. So my face felt sticky thoughout the day and later became too oily by the end of the day. Once I reach home after work, I can't wait to cleanse it off from my face.

I am now using it only as a night moisturiser, and I am using no more than 1 pump of it.

I am not likely to repurchase it as there are other products which worked better for me.

Have you tried it? Do share with me it worked for you! 

Divinia HA Triple Action Series

Divinia
HA Triple Action series

I came across this new brand at Watsons @ Bedok Mall. I got attracted to it by 3 words on its poster (made in Taiwan). As we all know, Taiwan is quite well known for their skincare products. Another advantage that attracted me was that it claims 3 tiers of hydration.

Indicated on its packaging:
Tier 1: Double hyaluronic acids replenish moisture from the outside to deep within.
Tier 2:Repair and Retain: Moisturising Ceramide repairs skin texture, enhances skin protective barrier and increases skin's moisture level.
Tier 3: Penetrate and Lock-in
Skin friendly olive oil and nourishing botanical extracts help hydrate the skin by enhancing moisture penetration deep into skin and locking it in to keep your skin moisturised all day long.

The packaging is quite similar to Hada Labo.. packed in plastic containers, without any fancy design. It is hence convenient to bring around.. no addition weight and price due to the design. I love the simplicity.

I would like to review on
1. My current night regime, which consists of Aqua Deep Toner, Aqua Deep Essence and Aqua Deep Creamy Gel.
2. My current morning regime, which consists of Multifunctional Repairing Cream

My Night Regime
Aqua Deep Toner (200ml)
Price: S$16.10
The texture is somewhat similar to Hada Labo Hydrating Lotion (rich), except that it is slightly thicker.

Aqua Deep Essence (30g)
Price: S$16.10
This essence is absorbed into the skin very quickly.

Aqua Deep Creamy Gel (50g)
Price: S$17.90
This moisturizer is really light. It has similar texture as Neutrogena Hydra Boost Gel.

My Morning Regime
Multifunctional Repairing Cream (80g)
Price: S$19.70
Its packaging indicates that it "offers the ultimate hydration and nourishment to your skin by providing the benefits of toner, essence, lotion, cream and mask all at once. With antioxidising Vitamin E and moisturising Soluble Collagen, this multifunctional cream offers round-the-clock protection and hydration to your delicate skin."

As it claims to provide an all in one benefit, I decided to use it as my morning regime, due to the rush for time.

However, I am a little disappointed with this product as it doesn't seem to deliver as well as claimed. It doesn't hydrate as well compared to the regime mentioned above. Skin still feels slight tightness.  after using it. At time, I will need to apply some creamy gel at the drier areas to stop the tightness.

Overall
I might repurchase the products mentioned in my night regime as they are very reasonable and affordable for the benefits that it claimed and delivers. Skin feels well hydrated, without any tightness.

However, for Multifunctional Repairing Cream, I will most likely not repurchase again as I feel that it is not hydrating enough, for my skin. =)

Bio-essence Snail Series

Bio-Essence
Snail Series

Pro: Affordable, moisturing, packaging
Con: Similar to other moisturizers

This was recommended by Swanston sales person. She gave me samples of this series when I bought the Bio-essence Snail series. =)

The packaging of the actual size serum is similar to Loreal Youth Code Booster. I love the packaging as it is easy to control how much I wish to dispense. I would use 2 drops for my face an 1 drop for my neck. =) I also love the texture of the serum as it is not oily at all, doesn't make my skin shine after applying.

As for the moisturizer, it is moisturizing enough for my combination skin. However, It feels just like other moisturizers. Nothing attracts me to repurchase this moisturizer again.

Overall, I don't think I will be repurchasing this series again, unless there are any new improvement made to this series, that attracts me to give it another try. =D

Olay Night Firming Cream

Olay Night Firming Cream

Pros: Doesn't make me break out, moisturizing, tones, affordable
Cons: Slightly oily

I have finished 1 bottle of this product. As I dont have much saggy skin, I am unable to comment about its firming effect. However, it did help to tone my skin a little. Thought it is a little oily, but it doesn't cause break outs.. and since this is a night cream, I will be cleansing my face before going to work anyway.. so the shine on my face is ok for me =)

It's suitable for those who sleeps in air con room as it is moisturizing enough.

I will definitely recommend this product as it is affordable. I will not be repurchasing this product in the near future as I wish to try other moisturzers of O

Bio-Essence Bird's Nest Nutri-Collagen & Whitening Products

Bio-Essence
Bird's Nest

This series of products was recommended to me by a Swanston staff when I told her that I am looking for something that helps to reduce pore size. She told me that products that are moisturizing, but not oily will help - Bio-Essence Bird's Nest products.

Nutri-Collagen & Whitening Advancer

 Price : $19.80

This product is used in place of a toner. I will squeeze some on my left palm and apply bit by bit to my face using my right hand. After applying, my skin doesn't feel tight or dry at all (unlike most toners). My skin feels soft and hydrated though it is only the first step after cleansing.

The packaging is attractive but as it is in a tall bottle, with pump, it is difficult to get the last bit of the content out from the bottle. This product is one of my favourites so far.

Nutri-Collagen & Whitening Essence

Price: $23.80

The white cream-like content is light and not oily at all!! After application, skin feels soft and tender.

Nutri-Collagen & Whitening Cream

Price: $23.90

This moisturizer is a non-greasy creamy gel. To me, this is the best product among this series as it doesn't cause pimples. Unlike most moisturizers which make my skin shine immediately and makes my pores more visible after application, this product moisturizes sufficiently yet not too oily for my combination skin.

Overall:  I think this series of products is very suitable for me, thanks to the Swanston staff... After using these three products, my pores doesn't look so obvious. My skin is also more supple and moisturized. Although I did not buy this product because of its whitening ability, I think it does help to brighten up my skin slightly after using it for nearly 2 months. These products might be slightly more expensive than other drugstore brands, but it is definitely worth buying.

ZA Dewy Effect Cream Gel (40g)

ZA Dewy Effect Cream Gel (40g)
Price: S$20.90

Pro: Attractive packaging
Cons: Price, oily

As its name states, the texture of this product is between a cream and gel.

It doesn't clog my skin. However, I feel that this product is too rich for my skin but not moisturizing enough (makes my skin feel oily and sticky but yet tight after using). Even after applying for 15-20 minutes, I still feel like there is a layer of oil on my face (not absorbed into skin).

I feel that the price for this product is slightly on the high side, as the content is only 40g - only last for about 2 months.

I won't buy this product again as I think this product is not suitable for my skin type. I believe it would be more suitable for dry skin.

Loreal Pore Minimizing Re-smoother - Gel Cream (50ml)

Loreal Pore Minimizing Re-smoother - Gel Cream (50ml)
Loreal introduces a new generation of skin transforming treatments that microtightens pores appearance and retexturizes skin by reorganizing surface cells.

* In just 4 weeks, pores appear smaller, skin is super smooth, more even toned.
* This lightweight re-smoother refines uneven dry patches and uncovers a luminous and healthy glow.

Price: ~ $13.50

Pros: Primer, not oily
Cons: Does not reduce pore size, impractical packaging, not moisturizing enough

I bought all the 3 products in this series, hoping to see real improvement in my pores. It had advertisements on tv, brochures and magazines, with statistics showing that this really helps in refining pores. I was thinking, since they are spending so much on advertisements, this product should be effective.

I have been using this product for months but have not seen any visible improvement at all. In my opinion, it only acts as a primer - the effect is temporary.

I am using this as a moisturizer as there is only scrub, toner and gel cream. However I doubt the moisturizer is serving its purpose. Upon applying, I can still feel tightness on my face. Is it really moisturizing? ...I don't think so.

The packaging is simple and handy. However, the pump is not able to reach to the bottom of the bottle. The lid of the bottle was also not made to be opened. Cracking open the lid is the only solution to reach the gel cream at the bottom.

This product is a disappointment. I will not purchase this product again as it didn't make my pores reduce in size permanently. But if you are looking for a primer, you might want to give this product a try.

Ganier Pure Long Lasting Shine Control Moisturizer (75ml)

Ganier Pure Long Lasting Shine Control Moisturizer is specially formulated for oily and combination skin that can be shiny.
Its formula with White clay powders and zinc agent matifies, absorb and controlling excess sebum. Your skin is hydrated all day long with no greasy feel and is left feeling pure, with a long-lasting matified look.
Price: $5.50

Pros: Handy packaging, affordable, found in most drugstores
Cons: Doesn't really control shine, not moisturizing enough

The blue bottle is small and compact. The scent of this moisturizer is almost the same as its toner, but less strong, which is good.

However it didn't really help to control shine. My skin starts to shine after 2 hours. For me, this product is not moisturizing enough as when my skin feels tight after cleansing, applying this product does no help in the tightness.

Though it is affordable, I don't think this product is worth buying as it didn't really do as its description promised.

Pros: Reasonable price, convenient to carry, 8 in 1
Cons: Thick creamy texture, clogs pores

I bought this to use as a sunblock for face. It has a thick, creamy texture which I didn't really like. After applying, skin look as though there is an oil film over it. Blotting is a must, after applying this. It also led to outbreaks.

I bought 2 bottles of it, and I have stopped using it for my face after using half a bottle. I didn't see most of the benefits on me, other than protecting my skin from UV rays and pigmentation.

Bio-essence (40g)
Face Lifting Cream (with ATP)

    * Lightens the appearance of aging lines between the nose and lips

Price: $45 (Watsons)

It has a very nice packaging. This cream is less thick, less oily and more spreadable as compared to Bio-essence Face Lifting cream Pine Pollen.

It has a very light fragrant. After applying, skin feels oily and slightly sticky. but after about five minutes, when the cream is totally absorbed, skin feels soft and well hydrated. It did make my face sharper as it promised to give a "V" face.

However, I haven't seen any effect in the refining of pores. But I will continue to use it for few more months, hope to see some effect soon =P

I feel that this product is quite affordable for working adults, but slightly on the high side for a student like me.

Collagen Elastin Facial Moisturizer (283g)

Collagen Elastin Facial Moisturizer (283g)
Description: All skin types. Contains protein
found in young, healthy skin
Texture: Creamy
Fragrance: Nice Fragrance
Price: $8.50

I bought this moisturizer, hoping that I will be able to find the right moisturizer that suits my skin.

However, this wasn't a right choice for me. During the 3 weeks of usage, it gave me severe breakouts. I think it might suit people with really dry skin.

Now, I am using it as a hand moisturizer. I personally feel that it works better as a hand moisturizer as after using it on my hands, my hand feels really tender and hydrated.

Neutrogena Hydro Water Boost Gel (50g)

Neutrogena Hydro Water Boost Gel (50g)
with progressive release system
Price: $17.90 (Swanston); $20.90 (Watsons)

Once in a while, I will go for facials and I was told that for my skin type, moisturizers that are in the form of cream,  will make my skin oily, causing clogging of pores and outbreak. Therefore, I went looking online for reviews of Moisturizing gels. The reviews that I read gave me the urge to give it a try.

I was glad that I found the best moisturizer for my skin type.
Other moisturizers which I have used, will cause shine immediately after I applied.

I have used this Moisturizing gel by Neutrogena for 6 months. It has a light fragrance, and the gel itself is not too thick. After applying, my skin feels well hydrated. No tight feeling at all!!! I would strongly recommend this product for people who have combination or oily skin like me.
