Himalaya Gentle Refreshing Toner (200ml)
Himalaya
Gentle Refreshing Toner (200ml)
Alcohol-free
Price: $9.80 (Swanston)
Post-review update
My initial impression of this product wasn't very pleasant. The "plastic" scent makes me wonder if this product has expired and if it is safe to use.
As my friend told me that the smell is normal, I continue to use it.. After I got use to the scent, I feel that this toner is actually ok. However it is nothing more than a normal toner.
I don't think I will repurchase this product again as there is nothing amazing, but costs more than toners like Nivea (at Swanston).
However, I will recommend this toner to those who have sensitive skin as it is alcohol-fee and it is not too strong.
Initial review
Pros: Transparent bottle
Cons: Scent, doesn't work as a toner
This was recommended by a friend of mine. She has been using this toner for years, and I was told that it is able to remove impurities really well.
This toner has a plastic smell. Well.. I would't mind the smell if the toner works for me.
Instead of removing impurities, which is the purpose of a toner, it makes my face shines and feels oily immediately after using it.. as though I haven't wash my face. I have used it about 5 times, and have never used it again..
The only thing good about this product is its transparent bottle.. Allows us to see how much content is left in the bottle.
This product is definitely not worth buying to me.

Bio-Essence Bird's Nest Nutri-Collagen & Whitening Products
Bio-Essence
Bird's Nest
This series of products was recommended to me by a Swanston staff when I told her that I am looking for something that helps to reduce pore size. She told me that products that are moisturizing, but not oily will help - Bio-Essence Bird's Nest products.
Nutri-Collagen & Whitening Advancer
Price : $19.80
This product is used in place of a toner. I will squeeze some on my left palm and apply bit by bit to my face using my right hand. After applying, my skin doesn't feel tight or dry at all (unlike most toners). My skin feels soft and hydrated though it is only the first step after cleansing.
The packaging is attractive but as it is in a tall bottle, with pump, it is difficult to get the last bit of the content out from the bottle. This product is one of my favourites so far.
Nutri-Collagen & Whitening Essence
Price: $23.80
The white cream-like content is light and not oily at all!! After application, skin feels soft and tender.
Nutri-Collagen & Whitening Cream
Price: $23.90

This moisturizer is a non-greasy creamy gel. To me, this is the best product among this series as it doesn't cause pimples. Unlike most moisturizers which make my skin shine immediately and makes my pores more visible after application, this product moisturizes sufficiently yet not too oily for my combination skin.
Overall: I think this series of products is very suitable for me, thanks to the Swanston staff... After using these three products, my pores doesn't look so obvious. My skin is also more supple and moisturized. Although I did not buy this product because of its whitening ability, I think it does help to brighten up my skin slightly after using it for nearly 2 months. These products might be slightly more expensive than other drugstore brands, but it is definitely worth buying.

Nivea Refreshing Toner (200ml)
Nivea Refreshing Toner (200ml)
Cleanses & invigorates for refreshed skin
Lotus Extract & Vitamins
For normal to combination skin
Price: S$4.90 (Swanston); S$7.70 (Watsons)
Pros: Price, removes impurties
Con: makes skin feel tight
What attracted me to this product is its price, description and reviews online.
This is the second bottle I am using, and I agree with online reviews that it does help to remove impurities. After using it, impurities can be seen on the facial cotton.I love the fragrance of this toner.
Though it smells of alcohol, its fragrance is still light and refreshing - just as its name stated.
It does make my skin feel tight and slightly dry after using.
Overall: This might not be the toner that suits me best, but I feel that this product is still worth buying as it is value for money, effective in removing impurities and is refreshing. I will definitely purchase this product again, until I find a better substitute.

Loreal Pore Minimizing Smoother - toner (200ml)
Loreal Pore Minimizing Smoother - toner (200ml)
Smoothes skin, refines and tightens pores
Price: ~$11,90

Pros: Scent, packaging
Cons: Makes skin feel tight
I bought the all the 3 products in this series, hoping to see real improvement in my pores as it had advertisements on tv, brochures and magazines, with statistics showing that this really helps in pore size. I thought since they are spending so much on advertisements, this product should effective and statistics should be
I like the design of the bottle as it is flat, transparent and light. Making it easy for travelling and we can easily see the amount of toner that is left.
Although this toner is not too strong and doesn't stings my skin, it does make my skin feel tight and slightly dry after using.
I have been using this product for months, my pores are still the same size... disappointing.
I will not purchase this product again as I believe there are better toners out there which can effectively reduce my pore size.

GINVERA Green Tea Whitening & Refining Fluid (100ml)
GINVERA Green Tea Whitening & Refining Fluid (100ml)
Ginvera Green Tea Whitening & Refining Fluid is specially formulated to clear the residue in pores left by cleansers.
It refines and contracts enlarged pores while providing intense hydration to the skin.
With regular use, skin becomes finer and fairer.
Price: $6.00
Pros: Cheap, whitens, light green tea scent
Cons: Leaves skin feeling tight at times.
The toner is nicely packed in a green glass bottle and plastic box. It does make my skin feel tight at times, but I thought I should use few bottles before expecting any visible improvement in my pore size.
I bought 4 bottles, and I'm currently using my 3rd bottle. Sadly, I haven't seen any improvent. As for whitening, I think it does hebit.
I think this is worth trying if you are hoping to find a cheap and basic toner. Do not have high hopes on the pore refining ability of this toner.

Garnier Pure - Pore Tightening Astringent (200ml)
Garnier Pure - Pore Tightening Astringent (200ml)
Price: $4.50
Price: $4.50
Pro: Cheap
Cons: Too strong
I bought this as it has "pore tightening" in its name.
I have used 1/2 of it, and have decided to stop using it. It stings my nose and skin, leaving my skin feeling tight and dry. My pores also look larger after applying...perhaps due to its drying effect. It also has a very stong alcohol smell that irritates me.
It is definitely not worth buying. I am now using it as liquid that kills bacteria on my desk as it contains alcohol.
