Mediplus all in one gel

The advertisements of this product often appear when I am browsing Facebook. It claims that it is an all in one, (so toner, emulsion, serum and moisturiser can be skipped).

After contemplating for months, I finally decided to give this a try.

I love the packaging as it has a "lock" for the pump ( as shown in the picture below) to avoid wastage due to unintentional pressing of the pump.

On the first day which I use it, I used the recommended amount  - 2 pumps. It was a wrong move for me as I have combination skin. It was very tacky and I was hoping that it will be better after some time when skin drinks up the moisture.. But it didn't. So my face felt sticky thoughout the day and later became too oily by the end of the day. Once I reach home after work, I can't wait to cleanse it off from my face.

I am now using it only as a night moisturiser, and I am using no more than 1 pump of it.

I am not likely to repurchase it as there are other products which worked better for me.

Have you tried it? Do share with me it worked for you! 

Divinia HA Triple Action Series

Divinia
HA Triple Action series

I came across this new brand at Watsons @ Bedok Mall. I got attracted to it by 3 words on its poster (made in Taiwan). As we all know, Taiwan is quite well known for their skincare products. Another advantage that attracted me was that it claims 3 tiers of hydration.

Indicated on its packaging:
Tier 1: Double hyaluronic acids replenish moisture from the outside to deep within.
Tier 2:Repair and Retain: Moisturising Ceramide repairs skin texture, enhances skin protective barrier and increases skin's moisture level.
Tier 3: Penetrate and Lock-in
Skin friendly olive oil and nourishing botanical extracts help hydrate the skin by enhancing moisture penetration deep into skin and locking it in to keep your skin moisturised all day long.

The packaging is quite similar to Hada Labo.. packed in plastic containers, without any fancy design. It is hence convenient to bring around.. no addition weight and price due to the design. I love the simplicity.

I would like to review on
1. My current night regime, which consists of Aqua Deep Toner, Aqua Deep Essence and Aqua Deep Creamy Gel.
2. My current morning regime, which consists of Multifunctional Repairing Cream

My Night Regime
Aqua Deep Toner (200ml)
Price: S$16.10
The texture is somewhat similar to Hada Labo Hydrating Lotion (rich), except that it is slightly thicker.

Aqua Deep Essence (30g)
Price: S$16.10
This essence is absorbed into the skin very quickly.

Aqua Deep Creamy Gel (50g)
Price: S$17.90
This moisturizer is really light. It has similar texture as Neutrogena Hydra Boost Gel.

My Morning Regime
Multifunctional Repairing Cream (80g)
Price: S$19.70
Its packaging indicates that it "offers the ultimate hydration and nourishment to your skin by providing the benefits of toner, essence, lotion, cream and mask all at once. With antioxidising Vitamin E and moisturising Soluble Collagen, this multifunctional cream offers round-the-clock protection and hydration to your delicate skin."

As it claims to provide an all in one benefit, I decided to use it as my morning regime, due to the rush for time.

However, I am a little disappointed with this product as it doesn't seem to deliver as well as claimed. It doesn't hydrate as well compared to the regime mentioned above. Skin still feels slight tightness.  after using it. At time, I will need to apply some creamy gel at the drier areas to stop the tightness.

Overall
I might repurchase the products mentioned in my night regime as they are very reasonable and affordable for the benefits that it claimed and delivers. Skin feels well hydrated, without any tightness.

However, for Multifunctional Repairing Cream, I will most likely not repurchase again as I feel that it is not hydrating enough, for my skin. =)

Bio-essence Snail Series

Bio-Essence
Snail Series

Pro: Affordable, moisturing, packaging
Con: Similar to other moisturizers

This was recommended by Swanston sales person. She gave me samples of this series when I bought the Bio-essence Snail series. =)

The packaging of the actual size serum is similar to Loreal Youth Code Booster. I love the packaging as it is easy to control how much I wish to dispense. I would use 2 drops for my face an 1 drop for my neck. =) I also love the texture of the serum as it is not oily at all, doesn't make my skin shine after applying.

As for the moisturizer, it is moisturizing enough for my combination skin. However, It feels just like other moisturizers. Nothing attracts me to repurchase this moisturizer again.

Overall, I don't think I will be repurchasing this series again, unless there are any new improvement made to this series, that attracts me to give it another try. =D

Etude House Sun Prism SPF 50 (Light Texture)

Etude Sun Prism SPF 50 (Light texture)

Pros: High SPF
Con: Too oily

The advantage of this product is its high SPF. However, it's too oily for me. =(

Though it states "light texture", it is not light for me at all!! =(

It makes my "just cleansed" skin shine, as though my face hasn't been washed for 1 day!!! After putting on this product, the first reaction from my hubby was "WAH! What happened to your face? why so oily?!" After using several times, with the same reaction from him, I no longer use this for my face. It's now a sunblock for my neck a and if body too.. if I will be outdoors for quite some time.

I will not purchase this product (light texture) again. If I ever want to try Etude House's sunscreen in future, I might consider their water essence instead. =)

Olay Night Firming Cream

Olay Night Firming Cream

Pros: Doesn't make me break out, moisturizing, tones, affordable
Cons: Slightly oily

I have finished 1 bottle of this product. As I dont have much saggy skin, I am unable to comment about its firming effect. However, it did help to tone my skin a little. Thought it is a little oily, but it doesn't cause break outs.. and since this is a night cream, I will be cleansing my face before going to work anyway.. so the shine on my face is ok for me =)

It's suitable for those who sleeps in air con room as it is moisturizing enough.

I will definitely recommend this product as it is affordable. I will not be repurchasing this product in the near future as I wish to try other moisturzers of O

My Beauty Diary Apple Polyphenol Mask

My Beauty Diary
Apple Polyphenol Mask
Oil Control & Pore Constringing
Price: S$14.50/box (10 sheets)

Pro: Apple Juice Scent
Con: Slightly drying

Though this fits my face better, but it requires applying moisturizer after use, which is not so convenient... and even after applying my daily moisturizer, my skin still feels a little tight, which doesnt happen when I don't use this mask.

I have finished using my first box. Did not see any visible improvement on my pores, slightly drying, and is higher priced than My Scheming Masks... I will not be supporting thisproduct

Garnier Aqua Defense Gentle

Garnier
Aqua Defense Gentle (200ml)
Hydrating Toner
water lily extract + Pro Vitamin B5
Price: $6.30 (Swanston)
(\br)
Pros: Inexpensive, packaging
Cons: Powdery scent, stings

Pros: Inexpensive, packaging

Cons: Powdery scent, stings

It packaged in a pink transparent bottle, which is light and allows us to see the level of content left inside.

Skin feels more tender after using these product. However, it does give a stining feeling at times after use. It has a powdery scent which I didn't really like. Though it claims that it is suitable for the most sensitive skin, I think it didn't work the way that I expected.

Due to the above reasons, I will not buy this product again.

Himalayas acne and pimple cream

Himalaya
Acne-n-Pimple Cream
Price: S$9.90 (Swanston)

Pros: Effective in removing pimples, simple packaging
Cons: None

It is packaged in a tube with a turn-to-open cap. The contain is thick, green cream.

I will definitely repurchase and recommend this product to my friends. Though it is more expensive than Oxy 5, but it is definitely worth as it is more effective in curing pimples. =)

Etude House Baking Powder BB Deep Cleansing Foam

Etude House
Baking Powder BB Deep Cleansing Foam
Price: $19.80

Pros: Gentle scrub, scent, not drying, lathers easily
Con: None

I was trying to top up to my bill in order to get their lifetime membership card and this product was recommended to me by the salesgirl.

Though this is a scrub, it's very fine and suitable for everyday use. It does not cause my skin to feel dry.

I use it every morning and I believe this tube can last for at least a year as just a small amount of it will produce lots of bubbles =D

Its scent reminds me of Mentos lime sweet.. haha

After using it for 1 week, I feel that my skin skin became softer. more tender =)

Yes, I will definitely repurchase this product again as it is is not drying though it is a scrub. =)

Himalaya Gentle Refreshing Toner (200ml)

Himalaya
Gentle Refreshing Toner (200ml)
Alcohol-free
Price: $9.80 (Swanston)

Post-review update

My initial impression of this product wasn't very pleasant. The "plastic" scent makes me wonder if this product has expired and if it is safe to use.

As my friend told me that the smell is normal, I continue to use it.. After I got use to the scent, I feel that this toner is actually ok. However it is nothing more than a normal toner.

I don't think I will repurchase this product again as there is nothing amazing, but costs more than toners like Nivea (at Swanston).

However, I will recommend this toner to those who have sensitive skin as it is alcohol-fee and it is not too strong.

Initial review

Pros: Transparent bottle
Cons: Scent, doesn't work as a toner

This was recommended by a friend of mine. She has been using this toner for years, and I was told that it is able to remove impurities really well.

This toner has a plastic smell. Well.. I would't mind the smell if the toner works for me.

Instead of removing impurities, which is the purpose of a toner, it makes my face shines and feels oily immediately after using it.. as though I haven't wash my face. I have used it about 5 times, and have never used it again..

The only thing good about this product is its transparent bottle.. Allows us to see how much content is left in the bottle.

This product is definitely not worth buying to me.

Biore UV Perfect Milk (40ml)

Biore
UV Perfect Milk (40ml)
SPF 50+
Price:$13.50

Pros: controls oil, texture, spreads easily, affordable, good packaging, waterproof
Cons: None

I have been using this product for more than 1 year. Though the bottle looks small, it is able to last for about 6 months for me, with

daily usage. There are several choices for this product (eg. moisture milk for dry skin).

The content is a watery lotion, spreads easily, and gives a matte finish. Unlike other sunblocks that leaves a shiny film on our face,

this product is not only non greasy, it also helps to control the shine.

I love the design of the bottle as it is slim and small (convenient for traveling). Though it doesn't have any fanciful design, the content is definitely worth buying.

Himalya Neem Face Wash

Himalya
Neem Face Wash
Clears skin, prevents outbreaks
Soap-free Cleanser

Price: $6.80 (Swanston)

Pros: Helps to reduce pimple size, inexpensive, not drying
Cons: Difficult to lather

The Neem Face wash is a gel cleanser which is transparent green, as seen in the pictures. I bought the smaller version at Watsons just to give it a try.

On the first use, the size of pimples is reduced about 25%.. so just a few more usage, the pimple will be gone. Skin doesn't feel tight or dry after using.

It has a very natural, "anti-bacterial" scent. however, as it is a gel cleanser, it is difficult to make it into a lather.

This is not my daily cleanser, but I will use it when I have outbreaks. My pimples will be gone sooner, before I lost my patience and squeeze them out. It is a must have in my skincare collection. =)

Bio-Essence Bird's Nest Nutri-Collagen & Whitening Products

Bio-Essence
Bird's Nest

This series of products was recommended to me by a Swanston staff when I told her that I am looking for something that helps to reduce pore size. She told me that products that are moisturizing, but not oily will help - Bio-Essence Bird's Nest products.

Nutri-Collagen & Whitening Advancer

 Price : $19.80

This product is used in place of a toner. I will squeeze some on my left palm and apply bit by bit to my face using my right hand. After applying, my skin doesn't feel tight or dry at all (unlike most toners). My skin feels soft and hydrated though it is only the first step after cleansing.

The packaging is attractive but as it is in a tall bottle, with pump, it is difficult to get the last bit of the content out from the bottle. This product is one of my favourites so far.

Nutri-Collagen & Whitening Essence

Price: $23.80

The white cream-like content is light and not oily at all!! After application, skin feels soft and tender.

Nutri-Collagen & Whitening Cream

Price: $23.90

This moisturizer is a non-greasy creamy gel. To me, this is the best product among this series as it doesn't cause pimples. Unlike most moisturizers which make my skin shine immediately and makes my pores more visible after application, this product moisturizes sufficiently yet not too oily for my combination skin.

Overall:  I think this series of products is very suitable for me, thanks to the Swanston staff... After using these three products, my pores doesn't look so obvious. My skin is also more supple and moisturized. Although I did not buy this product because of its whitening ability, I think it does help to brighten up my skin slightly after using it for nearly 2 months. These products might be slightly more expensive than other drugstore brands, but it is definitely worth buying.
