Etude House Eye Primer

Etude House
Primer (Eye)
Price: $10.90

Pros: Affordable, effective, glow
Con: none

I will always use this product before applying eyeshadow. It adds a little glow to my eyelid (has the effect of white eyeshadow) - It makes the eyeshadow last longer and stand out more. =D

It has a creamy texture, but does not make my eyelids oily at all.

I strongly recommend this product as it is affordable and is defintely worth the price. =)

Dove Whitening Anti-perspirant

Dove Anti-Perspirant Deodorant
Whitening (Original)
Restores underarms' natural skintone
Price: $2.50 (Swanston)

Pro: Scent, whitens, inexpensive
Con: takes quite long to dry

My skin darkening at underarms was quite bad.

I have been using this for at least 3 months daily. I can see the results within 3 weeks of using it. However, after the initial rapid results, its results

seem to be minimal and unnoticeable for me.

Maybe because mine is not the fast drying type, it takes quite a long time to dry after applying it. If you are rushing in the morning, you might want to try

out the fast drying one. =)

I will still recommend this product as it's price is very reasonable, and it did help to lighten around 2/3 my darkened skin...  =D

老伴豆花 (Lao Ban Soyabean)
Price: $1.50 (Original); $2 (Other flavours)

Pros: Smooth, fragrant, less sweet
Cons: Long Q, more expensive

This is a famous stall and they have lots of positive review online. They have 2 stalls (Maxwell Food Centre & Old Changi Airport Hawker Centre). Their soya beancurd is very smooth, and it has soya bean fragrant on its own. Unlike the traditional ones, which are tasteless on its own and sweetened by the additional syrup.

There's always long queue at their stalls. Waiting time around 20min. Their customers will always buy in bulk (20 or 30 boxes). There are other stalls that are starting to sell something similar to this. I have tried one at People's Park Food Centre (Aunty's Soybean). There is no queue and it's sold at the same price ($1.50 & $2). It is as smooth, but less fragrant as compared to Lao Ban.

Lao Ban is a must try! For me, I can eat many boxes without getting sick. =P

Kerastase Nutritive Oleo-curl

Kerastase Nutritive
Oleo-Curl
Nutri-Huile + Curl Protect
Price: S$35.50 (@ Swanston)

Pros: Fragrant, not greasy
Cons: Expensive, Holding power not very strong, Not very moisturizing

My friend recommended this product to me after I perm my hair. She said it helped her to define her curls.

It has a very sweet scent and it doesn't make my hair greasy. However, I was a little disappointed after using as I need to use a considerable amount to see the effect. Even after using more of it, the effect only last for about 4 hours.. and  after that, my hair looks dry and a little frizzy..

Perhaps this product worked well for my friend as she has natural curls. I believe It might require a diffuser for it to give better effects. But as I need to rush to work in the morning, I prefer products that will work well even without a diffuser.

I will not buy this product as considering the price, I expected it to be better than Lucido-L's Hair Milk (Soft Wave), which is (S$7.90) less than a quarter of the price of this product, yet more moisturizing, and defines and holds my curls better. curls better.

Etude House Secret Beam Highlighter

Etude House
Secret Beam Highlighter

Pros: Effective, affordable
Cons: None

After reading positive reviews of this product, I decided to give it a try.

They have 2 choices - pink and orange. I bought the orange one as the sales girl said that the colour pink one will be too light for my skin tone.

Love this product. This is a must use product whenever I put on make up. As you can see from the pictures, it consists of several different colours. But when it is used on skin, it really highlights my features and brightens us my look.

However, like all highlighters, just brush lightly on the product will do... Overdoing it will make your face glitter. I have overdone it once and my boyfriend asked "What did you put on your face? Why are there golden glitters?" =X

I will definitely recommend and repurchase this product. It is effective and inexpensive. =D

Lucido-L Designing Pump Hair Milk (Soft Wave)

Lucido-L
Designing Pump
Hair Milk (Soft Wave)
For Use on wavy hair
Retains Moisture + Nourishes hair
Setting Power: 3/6

Price: S$7.90 (Swanston)

Pros: Really moisturizes and helps to define waves, convenient, value for money
Cons: Setting Power

I use it on dry/semi-dry hair. It really helps to define the waves, moisturize dry hair and reduces some frizz (especially after perming).

I pump some of it into a container and bring it along with me everywhere I go. Unlike many other products off the shelves/from salons requires the use of a diffuser after applying the product. But it is not necessary for this product... very convenient.

It will be better if it has more setting power but overall, it's on of the best product that I have used. I will definitely purchase this product again! =)

Garnier Aqua Defense Gentle

Garnier
Aqua Defense Gentle (200ml)
Hydrating Toner
water lily extract + Pro Vitamin B5
Price: $6.30 (Swanston)
(\br)
Pros: Inexpensive, packaging
Cons: Powdery scent, stings

Pros: Inexpensive, packaging

Cons: Powdery scent, stings

It packaged in a pink transparent bottle, which is light and allows us to see the level of content left inside.

Skin feels more tender after using these product. However, it does give a stining feeling at times after use. It has a powdery scent which I didn't really like. Though it claims that it is suitable for the most sensitive skin, I think it didn't work the way that I expected.

Due to the above reasons, I will not buy this product again.
